Mappa_Cammino_del_Negro

This circular route connects the hilltop villages of the Vallo di Diano, within the Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni.
The trail takes its name from the ancient name of the Tanagro River (“Negro”) and its identity is deeply rooted in the Italo-Byzantine spirituality that characterises these places. The route follows ancient paths, unpaved roads and secondary roads, leading visitors to discover medieval villages, churches and castles that bear witness to a fascinating past.
Among the most significant stops is the majestic Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula, set in an atmosphere of great tranquillity and profound beauty.
