The Sentiero Italia, coinciding with the European E1 route, is one of the most important long-distance hiking trails on the European continent. 
Crossing the inland areas of Cilento, it connects the Park’s territory with the national Apennine mountain chain, enhancing high-value natural landscapes such as Monte Cervati, Monte Motola and the Alburni mountain range.
The route is also of particular importance from an international hiking perspective, as it is part of the network of Europe’s major long-distance trails.
